About Rina Brown

Hi, I am so glad you are here! I am Rina, and I used to tell my little brother stories for fun. I decided to write one down, and ended up publishing it on my 19th birthday. It dawned on me that building worlds for others to get lost in is my destiny, and I have been writing ever since.

Would you believe I used to be painfully shy? It is hard to sell books when you can't talk to people and only want to hang out with your cat. My brother is a famous YouTuber, which gave me the idea to start an interview show on YouTube to get comfortable speaking to strangers in public from my own home. After a year, I decided to hit the road.

From Florida to Kansas, I have given book talks in tea shops, signed autographs in The Tattered Cover, shaken hands with new fans in Texas, and set up tents at local Farmer's Markets to spread the word about my books.

I can tell you it isn't always easy. I would much rather be hiding behind my computer screen, living in imaginary worlds than fighting Denver traffic, trying to decide what to make for dinner and dealing with marketing woes. But, I also get to meet new people, tell them about my characters, and live my dream.

I invite you to share my worlds, I hope you love the characters as much as I do.

About Sharon Brown

Reading has always been as natural to me as breathing. Growing up, I was in libraries more than home. Imagine my delight when my daughter, a non reader, showed a flair for writing at the tender age of 8.

I am often asked why I support Rina to chase an artist's dream. It is challenging, competitive, and at times, grueling. When she wrote Isle of the Dark, I just knew this was what she was destined to do. I went back to school to learn how to edit her books, and before I knew it, was going around on tour with her, watching her blossom into the amazing young lady she is today.

It never occurred to me that I would want to follow not only her journey, but in her footsteps. For years Rina has been rolling her eyes at me every time I said I couldn't write. My job has always been to edit, brainstorm, have imaginary sword fights, and encourage.

Surprise! Not only do I love reading and editing, but I adore writing.

Rina and I have joined forces, and who knows, maybe someday, will write a book together. In the meantime, my first novel will come out Summer of 2024. If I can ever get her cat off of my computer.
