Love is in the air. Valentine's Day is here already?
I used to be in the floral industry, (and still dabble from time to time,) and I can tell you Valentine's Day is one of the craziest holidays. Folks line up out the door, willing to pay astronomical prices for something that is going to wilt in a week. Don't get me wrong, I love flowers, otherwise, I wouldn't have spent more than a decade scarring my hands with thorns and flower rot. They fill a room with cheer, fragrance, and elegance.
My question is, why do we need a specific day to say I love you? Shouldn't we do that every day? Life is short. Too short to wait for one day to express your fondness for an individual, whether it's a parent, sibling, or lover.
I wish I would have started my writing journey sooner. I look at Nora Roberts, Barbara Mertz, Stephen King, and all the stories they have shared with us over the years. I have one title published, and another on the way, but will never reach the amount those giants have produced. Luckily, Rina realized her dream early enough and is already wrapping up her 5th novel at the tender age of 23.
What's my point? I shouldn't have waited for one day to gather up my courage and put my book out there. You shouldn't wait to grab happiness, chase your dreams, and show those in your life you care.
For the month of February, Rina and I are offering a deal on the first 3 books of our series; Isle of the Dark, Sinner, and Down Came the Rayne. It's about more than 1 day, and we are excited to share our dreams with you. Have a reader in your life? Someone who loves adventure, romance, mystery? Surprise them after the holiday, not because you have to, but because you want to ;)
